Nick Shroeger Named “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive

Pursuing new ideas that will lead to better supply chain is at the heart of what we do.

Nick Shroeger, Coyote's Chief Solutions Officer, leads many of these innovative projects that create new solutions for shippers and carriers.

We're proud to announce that Nick was named a “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE), a business magazine focused on ROI, professional development and change management in the global supply chain.

Nick Shroeger recognized as supply and demand executive Pro to Know for 2022

What is Pro to Know?

Nick is the fourth Coyote leader to be honored, joining the likes of our CEO Jonathan Sisler.

The Pros to Know awards recognize “outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for competitive advantage.”

For 2022, they highlight leaders who blazed innovative trails through the supply chain disruptions that dominated headlines in 2021.

“Thank you to Supply & Demand Chain Executive for this recognition, which honors the work of an incredible team of dedicated specialists," said Shroeger.

"I look forward to continuing to collaborate with shippers and carriers to help them solve the problems they're experiencing today and drive the industry forward toward a stronger future.”

Innovating Through Difficult Times

Nick and his Network Solutions team saw COVID-19 as an opportunity to create new solutions that both helped keep businesses moving during the pandemic and equipped them to operate more efficiently in the future.

In the past year, the team helped modernize processes both within Coyote and across the broader North American supply chain.

They created and standardized digital paperwork, most notably the electronic bill of lading (EBOL) which they developed in tandem with the Consumer Brands Association.

They also worked to alleviate issues caused by the COVID-era driver and labor shortage by finding novel ways to get the most out of the existing capacity on the road.

The Network Solutions group helped launch “My Smart Routes,” an initiative to minimize empty miles by using market data and AI to build maximum-efficiency weekly route plans for carriers.

They are currently developing a shared truckload program that he hopes will maximize trailer utilization throughout our carrier network.

This emerging mode will not only offer cost savings and improved service to shippers, it should reduce emissions and improve sustainability throughout the supply chain as well.

“I want Coyote’s commitment to creatively finding and mobilizing new efficiencies to set the standard for our industry. If the kinds of solutions we’re developing become the norm, businesses won’t be the only ones to benefit — the planet will, too.”
