UPS SCS Named a Leader in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Third-Party Logistics, Worldwide

For an impressive fifth time, UPS Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) — which includes Coyote Logistics — has been named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics.

SCS received this recognition in the 2023 report, which evaluated 13 vendors, for their completeness of vision and ability to execute.

Customers rely on UPS SCS for a comprehensive suite of supply chain services including warehousing and fulfillment, air freight, customs brokerage, truckload and LTL shipping, and more.

This is the fifth time Gartner has recognized UPS Supply Chain Solutions as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics, Worldwide.

What Is the Gartner Magic Quadrant?

The Gartner Magic Quadrant provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers, in markets where growth is high and provider differentiation is distinct:

  • Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.
  • Visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well.
  • Niche Players focus successfully on a small segment, or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others.
  • Challengers execute well today or may dominate a large segment, but do not demonstrate an understanding of market direction.

“We’re honored to be named a Leader among third-party logistics providers by Gartner once again in 2023.

We think this recognition is the result of our commitment to helping our customers thrive in current conditions and develop the foresight to navigate our evolving industry into the future.

Every organization within the SCS business unit contributed to this shared success through their unique strengths and collaborative spirt.”

- Bill Seward, President, UPS Supply Chain Solutions

Capabilities Across Modes, Verticals and Supply Chain Services

In the past year, UPS SCS has focused on expanding their menu of service offerings, growing their geographic footprint and facility base, and supporting essential global industries.

They serve key verticals from healthcare and life sciences to consumer retail, automotive, industrial manufacturing, high tech and aerospace.

Their recent acquisition of Roadie allows them to provide same-day delivery to 90% of U.S. households, and they’ve invested significantly in the healthcare space with 199 licensed facilities (plus more on the way) and 16.1 million square feet of warehousing space.

“I couldn’t be happier for the UPS SCS team for receiving this recognition.

We think their clarity of vision and innovative, collaborative spirit sets the tone for all the organizations in the SCS family, including us at Coyote Logistics.

The standard of success we’re inspired and enabled to achieve helps us deliver the truly comprehensive, end-to-end supply chain support our customers deserve.”

- Nick Shroeger, Chief Solutions Officer, Coyote Logistics
