Coyote Announces 'Unite on the Ice, Benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital'

Chicago, IL—January 12, 2015—Coyote Logistics, title sponsor of the Coyote Hockey City Classic Winter Festival this February, announces a special kickoff event to the festivities. “Unite on the Ice, Benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” will feature public ice-skating and a celebrity hockey game, with an all-star lineup of NHL, AHL, and Olympic talent, including Denis Savard, Brian Noonan, Jamal Mayers, Adrian Aucoin, and many more. Unite on the Ice starts at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

“We can’t wait to get our skates on and take to the ice to benefit St. Jude,” says Steve Sarauer, project manager of carrier development for Coyote and coach at the Chicago Mission, a top-tier AAA hockey team powered by Coyote. “St. Jude is a remarkable research and treatment organization that has opened the paths to curing diseases for the entire world.”

Coyote is a proud philanthropic supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the past four years of Coyote’s fundraising campaign for St. Jude, one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, the pack has raised more than $825,000 through employee-sponsored events.

Admission to Unite on the Ice is free. Open skate tickets are available for purchase at stjude.org/uniteontheice, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The public may purchase tickets to skate at one of three times: 5:45 p.m., 6:45 p.m., or 10 p.m. Each session is 45 minutes, and a maximum of 250 people will be allowed on the ice per session. Tickets for ice-skating are $15 and include skate rental. There will be raffles and auctions for signed memorabilia and photo opportunities with players from the celebrity hockey game, which begins at 7:45 p.m.
