Coyote Teams Up with iHeart San Diego for Hurricane Relief Efforts

Chicago, IL—September 22, 2017—Coyote is proud to have teamed up with iHeart San Diego to provide the transportation of relief supplies to hurricane-affected areas in Texas.

iHeartMedia in San Diego—a UPS Foundation partner—completed a clothes, food, supplies, and blood drive last week to support those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. Members of the iHeart San Diego radio stations and San Diego community came together and donated everything from clothes, non-perishable food, and bottled water to diapers, flashlights, blankets, first-aid kits, pet food, and so much more. In total, over 20,000 pounds of donations were collected and the blood drive collected enough to help 110 people.

Coyote donated the transportation of all the supplies—enough to fill a 53-foot truck—and arranged the delivery from San Diego, California to two stops in Texas: Rosenberg and Richmond, both suburbs of the Houston area. The first delivery was to Goodwill in Rosenberg and the next to Gallery Delivery Furniture in Richmond where Project Houston—a San Diego-based group dedicated to supporting Harvey relief efforts—distributed to victims in the Houston area.
