Coyote Named to Food Logistics 2016 Top Green Providers List

Chicago, IL—June 27, 2016—Coyote has been named to the Food Logistics 2016 Top Green Providers list for its Private Fleet Service for the second time. The Top Green Providers list recognizes companies that are enhancing sustainability in the global food supply chain.

“Our technology and creative approach to capacity allow us to find the most efficient solutions for shippers,” said Coyote CEO and Cofounder Jeff Silver. “Our Private Fleet team matches empty trucks with freight in our network that needs to be moved, which results in a reduction of the number of empty trucks on highways. It’s a win-win for our customers and for the environment.”

Through a proprietary and innovative business model and internally designed and built technology, Coyote’s Private Fleet Service identifies backhaul matches between shippers’ underutilized assets and Coyote’s freight network—eliminating empty miles, reducing carbon emissions, and eliminating deadhead. In 2015 Coyote’s Private Fleet Service helped to eliminate roughly 40 million empty miles from highways—that’s 70,294 tons of carbon that didn’t enter the atmosphere.

With thorough reporting and analytical tools and Coyote’s unwavering commitment to service, Coyote provides real-time data, critical visibility, and timely communication to meet the unique needs of customers.

Companies on the Top Green Providers list will be profiled in the June 2016 issue of Food Logistics as well as online at www.foodlogistics.com.
