How Coyote is Handling Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Updated November 11

UPS and Coyote businesses were deemed part of a "critical infrastructure industry" by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, acknowledging our special responsibility to maintain normal operations in response to the COVID-19 emergency for both public health and safety, as well as community well-being. In response, we reaffirm our commitment to maintaining operational readiness and services in response to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

While our operations are critical, our people’s safety remains our top priority. We are subscribed to the COVID-19 Communications from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). Coyote continues to monitor for updates on active cases, status changes and recommendations.

We have been acting in alignment with the CDC Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers to Plan and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):

The goal of our leadership remains to keep all Coyotes safe while continuing to execute for our customers and carriers.

We are currently assessing how best to manage our workplace going forward considering the COVID-19 global threat, and in the meantime offices are accessible to employees with a badge and face mask. All Coyote employees are also required to pass a self-health screening prior to entering one of our offices. For safety reasons, our cleaning crew has also remained diligent in disinfecting common areas and individual work areas.

We are also working hard to reduce risk and create sustainable strategies to improve social distancing, including continuing a work remote model. Earlier this year, additional laptops were deployed, remote worker capacity were expanded for phones, voice and video teleconferencing and business application access.

Coyote encourages our employees and network to continue to follow all the recommended practices, including washing hands regularly, wearing a PPE mask and maintaining safe social distancing of at least six feet.
