Coyote to Open New Tech Hub in Detroit's Vibrant Corktown Neighborhood
We are excited to announce that we're expanding our Chicago-based operations by opening a tech hub in Detroit’s vibrant Corktown neighborhood in summer of 2019. Coyote will be the main office tenant in The Assembly, Bedrock’s multi-use development that transforms a four-story former warehouse into an anchor for activity in the neighborhood.
Detroit’s growing reputation as the Midwest’s hub for technology and innovation was a huge draw as we looked to expand Coyote’s operations. As we continue to raise the bar in the logistics industry, we are proud to be doing so alongside so many other companies in Detroit who are leaders in their industries.”
- John Perkovich, Vice President at Coyote
We will occupy the entire second and third floors of the The Assembly, which combines 32 unique apartments, 79,252 square feet of prime office space and 7,814 square feet of destination retail space in an up-and-coming, formerly industrial part of the Corktown neighborhood. The reformed four-story commercial building occupies nearly 160,000 square feet on the north side of West Fort Street between Rosa Parks Boulevard and 10th Street- one mile southwest of downtown’s Campus Martius Park. The Assembly integrates authentic historic architecture with modern comfort, design and style.
“Coyote is an excellent addition to the local tech community, which already includes local and national brands including Microsoft, LinkedIn, Twitter, Autobooks, Grand Circus and Guardhat,” said Bill Emerson, CEO of Bedrock. “Coyote’s decision to do business in Detroit means more job creation in a Detroit neighborhood that is booming.”
Our 58,000 square-foot space will become one of the largest tenants in Bedrock’s portfolio of dozens of businesses that have moved or expanded their operations within the city. Coyote will be bringing more than 500 team members to our new Detroit hub, with over 350 of these set to be new hires.
