How Coyote is preparing for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Updated Monday, March 30

UPS and Coyote's business has been deemed a "critical infrastructure industry" by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, acknowledging our special responsibility to maintain normal operations in response to the COVID-19 emergency for both public health and safety, as well as community well-being. In response, we are committed to maintaining operational readiness and services in preparation for the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

While our operations are critical, our people’s safety remains our top priority. We are subscribed to the COVID-19 Communications from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). Coyote is monitoring for updates on active cases, status changes and recommendations.

We are also acting in alignment with the CDC Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers to Plan and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):

We are currently assessing opportunities to keep our people safe by postponing large gatherings and instances where germs can be widespread.

The offices remain accessible to employees with a badge, but we recommend employees not come to the offices unless it’s determined that it’s absolutely necessary. Despite the office being empty for the past couple of weeks, our cleaning crew has remained diligent in cleaning common areas and individual work areas.

We are also working hard to reduce risk and create sustainable strategies to improve social distancing including working in a remote model. Additional laptops were deployed, remote worker capacity were expanded for phones, voice and video teleconferencing and business application access.

Continue to follow all the recommended practices including washing hands regularly and maintaining safe social distancing of at least six feet.
